Becoming an APN Member

 

The following individuals are eligible to become a member of African Psychological Network (APN):

  1. Any professional trained as a psychologist, counselor, or other related mental health discipline, and has a connection and/or interest in/to mental health in the African content, is eligible for membership in this association and shall become a member upon payment of association dues.

  2. Any student training to become a psychologist, counselor, or other related mental health discipline, and has a connection and/or interest in/to mental health in the African content, is eligible for membership in this association and shall become a member upon approval of application by the membership committee.  

 

Classifications of Members

 
 

Primary Members

Primary members are individuals with master's and doctoral level degrees who actively hold professional positions in the field of psychology.

 

 

Student Affiliates

Student affiliate members are individuals who are still in training and have not achieved a professional status.

 

 

Affiliates

Individuals interested in the mission and values of APN but do not meet the category of primary or student affiliate members (e.g. bachelor's degree holders, those working in the field but do not hold master's or doctorate degrees).

 
 

Membership Fees

Primary members $20.00
Affiliate members $10.00

As APN is an organization in its early stage, members are encouraged to make additional donations beyond the membership fee to support APN start-up activities, including registration. These donations may be added to the membership fee when making payment.


A student who meets APN criteria for student dues reduction or waiver shall have their dues waived or reduced to a rate determined by the membership committee after review of the student’s application.
